**Overview**

The Respiratory Supervisor will provide advanced technical/operational knowledge of all Respiratory modalities, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program, and Cardiology testing. This position is responsible for overall supervisory direction to ensure that services comply with standards established by regulatory agencies. This individual will have the ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrates advanced level of critical thinking and time management skills.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

* Follows established Hospital and Department policies and procedures and completes all required competencies as related to: noninvasive ventilation, invasive ventilation, oxygen therapy, arterial blood gases, hand held nebulizer, holter monitoring, and extended monitoring hook up, high flow nasal canula, Home Sleep Studies, Stress Testing-(Standard, Nuclear Medicine, Echo), EKG, MUSE editor;
* Ensure compliance within quality standards for specific sections;
* Serve as a resource to Providers and support staff for technical issues;
* Advanced knowledge of equipment and processes with an ability to troubleshoot difficult problems associated with this;
* Facilitates selection, confirmation, reporting of quality improvement activities in the Cardiopulmonary Department;
* Aids Director with procedure creating and maintaining;
* Protect confidentiality of all patient care, personnel and business/financial information;
* Foster a positive, flexible, team-oriented work group;
* Model BEST program expectations to include staff development;
* Successfully perform the mental, physical and performance requirements;
* Maintain continuing educations requirements.

**Requirements**

* Ability to build effective, collaborative relationships within and outside of Gifford that accomplish objectives successfully;
* Ability to communicate effectively;
* Ability to work through others and help others be successful;
* Patient service orientation;
* Graduate of AMA Respiratory Therapy Program
* Registered (RRT) by NBRC.
* Must hold a current Respiratory Care Practitioner license issued by the State of Vermont.
* 5 years previous experience understanding of disciplines in department to include: technical; modalities; etc.
* Previous managerial experience preferred.
