**Description**

Gifford Health Care is seeking a Teacher Assistant to work at our Child Enrichment Center in, Randolph, VT location.

TheRobin’s Nest Teacher Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and health of children in care. This position will also assist in the implementation of developmentally appropriate activities, and provide positive guidance to inappropriate behaviors.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment to promote the positive development of children
* Provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum to promote the physical and intellectual growth of children
* Provide positive guidance to support the social and emotional development of children
* Establish positive and productive relationships with families to provide consistency and support
* Maintain a commitment to professionalism and continue to improve as a teacher
* General knowledge and operation of basic office equipment (Computers/keyboards/fax machines/copiers/telephones)
* Follow and comprehend Instructions and direction
* Supportive and friendly to co-workers; children; parents;
* Maintain successful attendance and performance standards
* Able to meet physical demands of the position

**Requirements:**
• 12 Months working with children eight years and younger
• Level I or II on the Early Childhood Career Ladder or 3 credit course in ECE
• Must have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
